Moving clockwise around Lago Dorado from El Centro (where you’ll find the front desk, bell services, conference facilities, the gift shop, and most of the dining options at the resort), the first section you’ll come upon are the elegant, four-story, pastel Casitas buildings. The landscaping in this area is very tidy and sparse with beautiful fountains adding to the classy vibe. As the closest rooms to the conference facilities, these are popular for business people, as evidenced by the health club, spa, and lap pool found tucked into various courtyards between the buildings. This section is also great if your top priority is proximity to El Centro or to be at the first bus stop on the way to the parks. BUS SERVICE Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has 4 Bus Stops – one at El Centro, Casitas, Ranchos, and between Ranchos/Cabanas (in that order). Buses to Disney Springs have El Centro as the first drop off/pickup point, and buses to the parks have Casitas as the first drop off/pickup point. Next, you’ll come to a crossing – follow tightly along the lake and you’ll find yourself at The Dig Site recreational area, but if you veer to the left you’ll come to the Ranchos section. Aesthetically, this is my favorite area with it’s rustic three-story buildings, extensive PHOTO BY LAURIE SAPP
