PHOTO COURTESY OF DISNEY PARKS BLOG Yes, it’s finally happened. Disney has joined the bandwagon of almost all other resort hotels and will soon be charging for overnight parking. Now, your hotel folio will host a new charge - parking. Disney Value Resorts will add $13 per night, Moderate Resorts will add $19 per night, and Disney Deluxe and Villa Resorts will add $24 per night. Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will have complimentary parking. Day guests will not be charged, neither will Disney Vacation Club members. Reservations are now open for a new Pixar-themed children’s area coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Kids ages 4-12 will be able to interact with their favorite characters in a variety of themed rooms as part of a new “parents night out” experience. Bonnie’s Play Room will feature a variety of toys, The Living Room will host Space Ranger Training, and the Radiator Springs Racetrack will allow kiddos to build and race their own cars. There will even be an Incredible Dance Party! The cost is $65 per child plus tax and includes games, dinner, and dessert. The night runs from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, allowing parents a few hours for “date night.” This summer, things become glowtacular at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon as it comes alive after dark with Disney H20 Glow Nights. Now you can experience the water park at night from 8:00 PM until 11:00 PM on select nights through August 11th. Tickets are $55 per person, ages 3-9 are $50.
