Tommy Nguyen - Male Fitness Model Tommy is no stranger to the WBFF stage, placing top 3 at the 2014 Kansas City show! He is a part of the Hitch Fit family where he is known and loved for his great work ethic and ever present smile! Where are you from, what category are you competing in, and what do you do for a living? Kansas City has always been my hometown. On May 30th 2015, I will be competing in the male fitness model division at the Kansas City WBFF show. I am a Technical Engagement Leader who works with hospitals to transform healthcare at Cerner. What 3 words would you use to describe yourself? CRAZY, FUN, HARDWORKER. What’s the most exciting part of competing with the WBFF? Walking on that stage and showing every inch of my muscles as a result of hard work and dedication and to look and feel great is amongst one of the most exciting parts. It’s thrilling to be up there to compete against other great contestants and to see how everyone has literally changed and improved over time. What is the greatest obstacle you have faced on your fitness journey? What or who was your inspiration to compete? The fluctuation of energy level always gives me a difficult time. There Sensei AJ Ellison is the one who inspires me and will always be my Sensei. are some days where I feel like I can lift a truck while other days where I don’t even want to lift a finger. What is your favorite body part to train and favorite exercise? I don’t have a favorite body part to train. I like to be consistent and train all body parts evenly. I would have to say exercising on my chest would be my favorite. What are the top 3 songs on your Ipod that keep you motivated? What I learned from Hitch Fit where I first transformed, the key is a lifestyle change which includes diet, workout plan and consistency. Who would you like to thank that has been an integral part of your journey to the stage? I would like to thank my wife, Anita, for supporting my fitness goals and putting up with all the extra time I put into becoming fit. I would also like to thank Sensei AJ. He has been there for me since the beginning of my journey.
