Vickie Sims - Transformation Division

Vickie is a Hitch Fit All-Star, this 60 years young mother and grandmother has been a huge inspiration since she
changed her life around at an online personal training client in 2013!
Tell us about yourself Vickie.
I live in Parkville Missouri. I am competing in the transformation category. I work
as a paralegal at a law firm on the Plaza.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself? Driven, Loyal, Dependable
What’s the most exciting part of competing with the WBFF?
The most exciting part will be stepping on that stage for the first time. Plus
meeting some of the athletes (pros and amateurs) has been amazing.
What is the greatest obstacle you have faced on your fitness journey?
Low carb days! Seriously though, losing my mother-in-law last August and a
couple of months ago my 89 year old mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and my
40 year old niece was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. However, all of what has
happened has made me more determined to stay fit and healthy.
What or who was your inspiration to compete? The WBFF itself. I attended last
year’s show and it immediately brought back dreams that I thought were long
forgotten.
What is your favorite body part to train and favorite exercise? Quads – love leg
presses and seeing how heavy I can go.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get in amazing shape and
compete?
Do it! Start by hiring a trainer! Stay focused! Most importantly, never give up. It isn’t an
easy journey but it is so worth it.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
Kerri Steffens for introducing me to Hitch Fit and being right there with me all along the
way. Diana Chaloux-LaCerte for being an amazing and caring trainer/coach. Most of all,
my husband, Rick, he has put up with my self-doubt – always building me up when I
needed it most, ignored my crankiness and has been my rock through all of this.
