SENIOR FITNESS
Functional Boot Camp for Seniors
Join fitness instructor Meghan Johnson in functional fitness exercises that train your
muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common
movements. These easy low impact workouts are designed to improve balance and
posture, agility, flexibility and coordination. With continued participation functional
training eases joint pain, reduces the risk of injury, improves memory and boosts
overall health and well-being.
Cost: $60/6-week session Waxhaw Resident ($10 per class)
$66/6-week session Non-Resident ($11 per class)
6 person minimum per 6 week session. 20 person maximum.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Cherokee, NC
Charter bus leaves Waxhaw at 6:30 AM from the Duncan-McDonald House,
115 N. McDonald Street, Waxhaw. Arrives 10 AM at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. Price
includes transportation and $20 in play vouchers. Lunch on your own at one of several
onsite restaurants. Charter bus departs Harrah’s at 3 PM and returns to Waxhaw at 6:30 PM.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Catawba Queen Sightseeing Tour
Charter bus leaves Waxhaw at 9 AM from the Duncan-McDonald House, 115 N. McDonald Street, Waxhaw.
Arrives 10:30 AM at Queen’s Landing in Mooresville, NC. Enjoy a private cruise on the “Catawba Queen”
from 11 - 12:30 PM including a boxed lunch. View Lake Norman’s unique beauty
as the captain tells the history of Lake Norman and gives a narrative on some of the
celebrity homes. Charter bus departs at 2:30 PM and returns to Waxhaw 4 PM.
