Thoughts around water
The Water Research Commission (WRC) and the Department of Science and Technology
(DST) held a stakeholder workshop titled ‘National Water RDI Roadmap Cluster
Prioritisation Workshop’.
A
cross section from the water sector
attended the workshop, including
representatives from universities and
governmental departments, stakeholders from
the private sector, and researchers.
Attendees were encouraged to contribute
to refining the focus of the roadmap and
consider gaps and improvements. Key
issues were prioritised within the investment
clusters of the roadmap, with many interesting
observations around urban development,
funding, and partnering.
“The goal of the workshop was to pick a
project on which to develop collaboration,”
