A Clean Slate
When an employer takes cleaning products as seriously as a clean

stewardship.

Products has made green manufacturing a priority since 1967, and the efforts
are paying off. The company switched to 100 percent renewable energy in 2010 and in 2013 achieved carbon neutrality at all
five of its manufacturing facilities — avoiding emission of nearly 54 million pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
Additionally, strict waste management programs have cut their overall waste by 95 percent, resulting in a direct cost savings of
$200,000 per year. The company encourages a more sustainable lifestyle for employees as well, providing green benefits such
as a $2,000 incentive to buy an eco-friendly car, a $1,000 relocation incentive to move closer (to within 10 miles) of the facility,
and a $2,000 incentive to install solar panels on employees’ family homes.
in their own words: “Our commitment to sustainability is not a short-term project but a fundamental part of our
company’s DNA. We look at the sustainability of our operations as well our products — from our production processes to the
operation of our facilities to support for our employees. Our efforts have not only been good for our customers, our planet,
and our employees but have
directly increased productivity
and revenue growth while
reducing our costs.”
