Demetrio v. Sakuma Bros. 183 Wn.2d 649 (2015) In Demetrio, the court found that piece rate workers must be separately paid for all rest breaks. AWB disagrees with this decision. City of SeaTac 183 Wn.2d 770 (2015) In Filo Foods, the court found that the SeaTac City ordinance was not preempted by the federal National Labor Relations Act, nor did it interfere in basic airport operations. Community Health Systems 184 Wn.2d 252 (2015) In Becker, the court expanded the tort of wrongful discharge, requiring alternate remedies to be exclusive to avoid the application of the tort claim.
