LIVE, LEARN & TRAVEL:
STUDYING ABROAD IN THE U.K.
Since 2002, Consortium UK staff have been helping Thai
students find — and be accepted onto — their ideal courses
at some of the UK’s leading universities. We take a look at
the four universities they represent and the vibrant cities and
environments which surround them, proving that study abroad
can be an exploration of self, subject and surroundings.
BATH
At the turn of the 19 th century, British
citizens began visiting Bath in droves,
drawn by rumors of the city’s sup-
posed health benefits. Historic Bath,
once the home and literary inspira-
tion of Jane Austen, hosts a rich and
fascinating culture. As a UNESCO
World Heritage Site, it has become a
must-see for tourists wishing to ex-
plore one of the world’s best-pre-
served Roman bathhouses.
Bath remains just as celebrated
today but more for its educational
finesse than ability to cure the ill. In
fact, the University of Bath has be-
come increasingly popular among
Thai students and today has a strong
and active group of Thai alumni.
