immense power in being able to change yourself and the way you do things, to see circumstances evolve favorably. ¬ ¬ You continuously have to strive for better and higher. You'll get there by being able to stop, breathe, acknowledge achieve- ments, and design the next steps from a place of clarity and serenity. ¬ ¬ Success comes from finding our purpose. We meet true happiness when we align with and live out our purpose. ¬ ¬ The results of these journeys are exciting and mind-blowing. You feel infinite freedom from re- alizing you are the only one who can stop your growth. You are em- powered through knowing who you are and what light and shad- ows you bring to the world. You feel a sense of achievement by realizing you have and are giving purposefully. ¬ ¬ You need serious and trust- worthy support. It can be a per- son or a school guiding you, but you need someone to give advice and to kick your butt, when re- quired. This person should not ma- nipulate you, blur your thoughts nor take advantage. In both busi- ness and spiritual journeys, your ideal support person or system will help you uncover your inner diamond and make it shine bright- er, as you give it to the world. This person will be brought to you by the Universe. LESSONS LEARNED When I was the master of cere- monies for French Tech’s two- year anniversary, I moderated a panel of four start-up founders and discovered that this experi- ence truly highlighted the spir- ituality-entrepreneurship link. I was on a high as I listened to powerful motivational speakers talking about what they called their “missions,” all sharing how they raised up from the ashes again and again. I was inspired hearing about the courage needed to take risks every day, to take responsibility for many others, to face rejection from in- vestors and the doubts of the community — and to do all this while meeting the demands of the family. Being an entrepreneur helped me understand many teachings of pranic healing and Arhatic yoga, including balance and manage- ment; constancy of aim and effort; and clarity of thought and vision. My business journey, therefore, in a practical and straightforward way, demonstrated how meditation, en- ergy-balancing practices, and inner reflection are essential for surviving and striving. In business, these prac- tices are not only choices — they are requirements. It’s amazing to think that two concepts we see as opposi- tional can and do work togeth- er. Spiritual journeys are en- hanced by the experience of entrepreneurship; and entrepre- neurship, in turn, provides a re- al-world application of spiritu- ality. When we treat spirituality and business as two forces that strengthen each other, wonderful things can happen.
