DIY Melted Crayon Art I’m so excited to share this colorful DIY project for craft lovers who have a pack of crayons lying around. It’s kind of like back-to-school for adults, and it’s a great way for children to become budding artists. This project turns into a creative and inexpensive piece of wall art that will have friends oohing and ahhing when they see it! DIY tutorial and photos by Paperi Mökki HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED: ©© Crayons ©© Glue gun and glue stick ©© Hair dryer ©© Blank canvas (as many as you like) 5. Begin heating one section of the crayons with a blow dryer about an inch away. It will take a couple minutes for the crayons to begin melting. 6. Use the air and heat to direct the wax down the canvas. 7. Continue working section by section. 8. When all crayons have melted and dripped down, pick up the canvas from your work area. Scrape off any excess from the bottom edge. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Sort the crayons by color. Try to avoid browns, black or neutral colors. I went with a rainbow. Ombre colors are subtle and cheerful as well. 2. Line up the crayons by color in the order you want. Place them along the top of the canvas so you know how many will need to fit the length of the canvas. 3. Now it’s time to take out your hot glue gun to glue the crayons to the canvas. Apply the glue to attach the crayons. Lay them down, then add more glue. 4. Once glued on, cover your work area with paper and lean the canvas up against a support. 56 WANDERLUST SUPPLIES GLUE CRAYONS DOWN USE HAIR DRYER TO MELT CRAYONS FINISHED PRODUCT Et voilà!
