Dolly Dumas
Celebrating Ten Years of Versatility
2018 was Dolly Dumas’ tenth year in the versatility arena.
Dolly’s journey in the Tennessee Walking Horse versatility
program began in 2008 and since that time (2008-2018), Dolly
has accomplished 21 WHOA International Championships
(three of which were competitions with youth riders, Jackson
and Gage Warren), 11 TWHBEA World Championships,
and 15 NWHA National Versatility Championships. Dolly’s
other major accomplishments up to 2018 were achieving the
TWHBEA Adult Supreme Champion in 2014, the TWHBEA
Elite Supreme Champion and the WHOA Certificate of Mer-
it in 2016, and the WHOA Register of Merit in 2017.
The show season of 2018 was more of a rest period for
Dolly from all the accomplishments of previous years. Dolly
continued to show and support WHOA and PWHAT Versa-
tility shows throughout the summer. A foot injury kept Dolly
away from the TWHBEA World Versatility Show but she was
able to show and compete at the WHOA International where
she was champion in Amateur Trail Obstacle with Kitty Keen
and Amateur Novice Trail Obstacle with Jackson Warren. Dolly
was also Reserve Champion with Kitty Keen in Western Dres-
sage Intro 3, Western Riding, and Adult Showmanship.
For the 2018 show season, Dolly received the PWHAT High
Point Champion for Adult Showmanship and Reserve Champion
for Trail Obstacle. At TWHBEA, she earned Elite High Points in
Dressage and Showmanship as well as a Reserve Elite High Point in
Western Riding. Dolly is also listed in the 2018 Walking Horse Report
Top Ten in Showmanship and Reserve Top Ten in Trail Obstacle. This
mare has been listed in the Walking Horse Report Top Ten for repeated
years in various versatility events. In the coming 2019 season and at the
age of 17 years old, Dolly Dumas will continue to compete in versatility
and All Day Pleasure classes along with a new venue of Dressage and
Western Dressage.
