After a good mornings sleep I was rested and ready for the WHOA Directors meeting at 11 . Another WOW , tasty , delicious food was served to the WHOA Directors that sent us on our way refreshed so we could handle the business end of meeting all fresh and alert .
Wednesday August 1st . The Dog Show started at with Mark Taylor capable of selecting just the right dog for each class . Peggy Moore assisted Mark as ring mistress . This fun but very competitive event is an event that everyone looks forward to each year . Best In Show went to the French Bulldog , Brigadier General Tankington owned and proudly shown by Ashlyn Carlson of 0 ’ Fallon . Illnois . Cute little fellow that does resemble a little tank !

August 1st ! Is it really August ??? Where has the short summer gone ? A very gifted photographer AND vocalist , Jennifer Barr did double duty as she sang the National Anthem and then ran her shapely legs off taking pictures to capture the perfect moment for your memories . Thank you Jennifer for a great job . The nights are beginning to blur into one another with each night bringing more gifted walking horses for the judges to view . So far 1,488 have made for interesting viewing . It is SOOO refreshing to see the big smiles on our first International blue ribbon winners . Several teams have won multiple blues and they are still grinning as they approach the beautiful center ring .
Two hundred and thirty nine horses walked in the ring tonight making the total shown thru Wednesday 1,727 ! Whooooeeeee ! Keep ‘ em coming thru that gate . We want the numbers to soar !!!!
If you know me . You know I love to eat . I feel I simply must compliment the WHOA Office personnel on their providing center ring with not only delicious food but a wonderful variety . The fruit tray sent by Marcia Allison was a very welcome appetizer , WE loved it . The food keeps the Judges and the center ring going and in a good mood . We really appreciate the time you spend selecting the right foods ! The food is absolutely delicious .
August 2nd - Election Day and things are speeding right along . Speaking of speed---- the speed racking class provided the excitement of the night as the entries literally flew around the ring to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd . This year the spectators have been very
