WHOA Versatility Show Cookeville, Tennessee • June 16 Cookeville WHOA had a  really good show in spite of the horrible heat on June 16th. Two hundred and ten entries answered the gate call at the Hyder-Burke Agricultur- al Center.  The Big A** Fans kept all our big a** fairly cool all day.  Way to go COOKEVILLE!  Folks mark this as a must attend show next year.  IT is a good show for sure!!! Just one of the many interesting ( to me) things about traveling the country and meeting new walking horse enthusiasts---and there is usually a least one or two NEW families at each of our WHOA Shows –is the different type of walking horses in different ar- eas.  All the horse are walking and shaking,  just different types AND of course of special interest to me is getting to see and visit with the walking horse people in  the differ- ent areas and learn of their needs, wants and opinions.  Interesting topics arise. It was especially nice to see the Phil Snodgrass Stables and their nice horses at this show. Phil’s like me---we have both rowdyed on down but still enjoy seeing and showing walking horses. Congrat- ulations to the Snodgrass Stables on their good winsand to Phil for making his good rides. Speaking of Eastern Tennessee friends that we just don’t see ENUFF---loved seeing the Reagans! Stetson Mason was one of the SIX leadline entries. Stetson is a cutie and growing every minute.  Travis even came and showed---trying to take Michael’s place---and doing a very good job I might add. Patricia Crisp made her presence known in the youth division as did Aunt Alison and GRANDmother, Wanda  and while GRANDdaddy, Danny is still sidelined from showing he was a big help at the gate and being the occasional “ribbon boy”. Other “ribbon boys” helping out were Vic Gernt (who did a lot of the preliminary work for this show by getting the site, etc) and Larry Starnes. Lori Finch once again stepped in and helped by being the photogra- pher.  THANK YOU FROM ME to all the helpers. – Sis Osborne Paige Peaslee  with Mednight showing in her very first show - she earned a reserve tie in Showmanship. Wayne Barnes doing his thang!  Wayne drives with the best and his young horses LOVE to pull the cart! Good job! Alison Mason on one of the Reagans’ young horses (Could that be Daddy Danny coaching on the rail?). Patricia Crisp riding one of her grandparents ( Wanda & Danny Reagan’s ) nice horses. One of the several classes at Cookeville filled with NICE Tennessee Walking Horses. THE YOUTH SHOWMANSHIP CLASS - A GOOD  CLASS of talented showmanship handlers. ALL PHOTOS © LORI FINCH 15
