Thompson con- tinues, “That was when we discov- ered that the Ladies Horse Society had an even greater purpose.  We were bringing horsewomen together from all over the world!  Many of our members are professional horsewom- en, others either own horses or have come to a point in their lives where they are not able to ride, yet they still want to be around horses and horse people.“ The Ladies Horse Society is what they have been looking for.” Downing states, “I have been a “R” Hunter/Jumper/Equitation Judge for most of my life.  I love what I do, but have been looking for other ways to enjoy the horses and horse people in my life.  This was a new way of think- ing for me and I am excited to be a part of what is happening with the Ladies Horse Society.  The response has been amazing and we are looking the original focus, women’s horse vacations.  Our first event will be in the spring of 2019 at Camp Hobbit Hill in the beautiful mountains near Asheville NC.  We can take what we are doing anywhere with the Ladies Horse Society anywhere in the world and we have already had inquiries forward to meeting more horsewom- en from everywhere.” Thompson adds, “It has been fun to watch what is happening as our community of horse women continue to network and support each other’s dreams in the horse world.  The Ladies Horse Society will continue to build a community of horsewomen through Facebook and will also be moving forward with from different locations the US, the UK and Africa.” For more information on the Ladies Horse Society join them on Facebook at https://www.facebook. com/ladieshorsesociety and the FB Group/Community at https://www. facebook.com/groups/ladieshorseso- ciety. 7
