RULES AND REGULATIONS: ATTENTION ALL EXHIBITORS                    The Smoky Mountain Classic is Affiliated with WHOA HIO and adheres to the WHOA rule book: www.walkinghorseowners.com All horses must present a current negative Coggins, all out of state horses must present a health certificate. Pre-entries are encouraged and appreciated. Post-entries are accepted. Pre-entries must be made by April 10, 2017. Online entry form and paper entry form can be found at: www.fourbeatsforpleasure.com Scratches must be made prior to the start of the sessions in which the scratched class occurs. No refunds on classes not scratched prior to the session. Stalls are available at 12 noon on Friday, April 21, 2017. Two bags of shavings are included in the stall fee which is $85.00 for the show (12 noon Friday afternoon until 6pm Sunday evening or any part thereof). Early arrivals and late departures must be arranged with Show Management. Shavings are the only bedding allowed per the WNC Ag Facility rules. Extra shavings are available for purchase from the show office for $8.00/bag. Persons wishing to stall on Sunday evening will be charged and additional fee of $15.00/stall needed and stalls need to be vacated by Monday at 12 noon. If you wish to reserve your stall for Sunday as well, please contact [email protected] in order to make that reservation. RV Hookups are available for $35.00/night and reservations must be made through Shannon Gibbs at [email protected] or through the show office during the show. The Smoky Mountain Classic adheres to the current horse protection standards. This show is for sound horses only. Any lame or sored horses will be disqualified. No refunds on entries that do not pass inspection. All horses will be inspected by the DQP prior to showing, and any horse may be inspected post showing or anywhere on the show grounds. Horses must be inspected wearing a bridle or halter only; no other tack is allowed. There will be a $15.00/horse/day charge for horses showing out of the trailer. Registration papers are required for all TWH Classes except All Day Pleasure. Horses showing in any age designated class (i.e. – 5 & Under or 2&3 Year Old), you must be able to prove your horse’s age with a copy of registration papers or a vet certificate. Smoky Mountain Classic reserves the following rights: o To have the DQP and/or Show Management Team inspect any horses at any time on the show grounds. o To cancel, combine, delay, or split (when there are 25 or more horses) any class or refuse to accept any entry as deemed necessary. o Not to give any refunds if any show officials must be substituted. o To ask anyone found abusing horse(s) on the show grounds to leave the grounds. To be eligible to show, every exhibitor must have either a trainer’s license, WHOA Amateur Membership, WHOA Professional, WHOA Youth Membership, or temporary WHOA Professional, Amateur or Youth Membership. WHOA SSH rules apply. All SSH must be registered with SSHBEA or NSSHA. Racking Division – all entries must be properly attired with ribbons in the English Divisions. PERSONS ON FEDERAL DISQUALIFICATIONS MAY NOT TRANSPORT HORSES TO THIS SHOW AND MAY PARTICIPATE ONLY AS A SPECTATOR. POSITIVELY NO SMOKING IN THE BUILINGS, BARNS AND/OR THE STALL AREAS. ABSOLUTELY NO OVERNIGHT TIE-OUTS. ALL HORSES MUST BE STALLED OR REMOVED FROM THE SHOW GROUNDS AFTER EVENING SESSIONS. Reminders:        No Hoof Black is permitted on any entry. No action devices, no plastic wrap, no Tungsten shoes, and no hoof bands allowed on the grounds. All Western classes reverse away from the rail. Communication devices are allowed for 11 & Under or Special Needs riders ONLY. Exceptions include no communication devices in Versatility Classes, Showmanship at Halter, and Equitation Classes. Youth exhibitor is one who has not reached their 18 th Birthday on January 1 st of the current show year. Novice Rider or Horse: has not won three first place ribbons at a WHOA show. Does not include ribbons in Halter, Model, or Versatility. To be eligible to show in AOT classes, neither the horse nor rider may have professional training or instruction for the prior 90 days preceding the show.
