Walking Horses Walk On At Illinois Horse Fair
The Illinois Walking Horse Asso-
ciation represented the Tennessee
Walking Horse and helped promote
the Walking Horse Owners’ Asso-
ciation at this year’s Illinois Horse
Fair. Over the course of the event,
the group staffed a breed booth,
greeted visitors at their horses’
stalls, and orchestrated a nine horse
breed domo. Additionally, they had
a vendor booth where the group’s
youth members sold hand-made
items to raise funds to help them
travel to out of state horse shows.
Items for sale included tail bags,
dream catchers made from old
horse shoes, and a variety of wood-
en signs with horse related messag-
es. The Illinois Horse Fair, which is
Illinois’ largest horse expo, was held
March 3-5 at the State Fairgounds
in Springfield, Illinois.
