Day 1 - SATURDAY
A Show To Remember
Full results from the 2016 International
are available in our Show Results section.
The 38th International added an additional day. After the morning’s very successful Service Horse Compeition and TWH Over Fences and Hunter Hack classes, it was an entire day filled with awesome Dressage
horses. I personally learned all sorts of new facts concerning this exciting division for TWHs. First, a maximum
number of 60 horses per Judge is allowed per day. The International almost reached the maximum number the
very first time they offered the entire day of Dressage! Awesome! A rider may choose to go earlier than their
assigned time IF the show is moving right along but they may
choose to wait for their scheduled time. It’s the rider’s choice.
Amazing! The Central Tennessee Dressage Association graciously
offered their assistance with setting up the large improved Dressage Ring as well as providing excellent help the entire day. The
ring was terrific. The ring was a much larger ring than WHOA
had been using. Excellent riders made the tests look easy. Scot
MacGregor had a fantastic day earning seven blue ribbons! 54
very nice entries competed in this endeavor. We hope next year
will be just as successful.

Manchester, Tennessee, had been involved in two other trail ties this year. Coming out on top in this class, after
the “ timed trail off ”, was Victory Trip. This win earned the Regina McElroy Trophy for good riding Dan Starnes,
grandson of Reginia MacElroy. Dolly Dumas, a very consistent winner, proved her abilities once again by collecting the blue in Open Trail and winning the Ada Wright Trophy the very first time it was given. Dolly Dumas was
