2016
International Pleasure & Colt Grand Championship
Day 8 - SATURDAY
DAY 8
FINAL ROUND!!!!! International High Point winners were announced. The Versatility High Point was
Victory Trip with Linda and Dan Starnes making the good rides. Reserve was Tuff Night At The Ritz with Tracy
Pinson up and third was Dolly Dumas and Kitty Keen. The 17 and Under High Point went to Morgan Hodge
followed by Brady Bachert while third place went to Shelby Finch. The 11 and Under Champion was Mallory
Johnson. Reserve was Brinkley Dew and Cole McCormick took third place.
Best In Show, I believe the International is the only TWH
Show to have this class. This is where if you have tied first or
second in a Championship you may enter and compete for Best In
Show. There are two divisions for the Best In Show, canter and non
canter. The Best In Show Canter title went to Jose’s Pretty Lady
with Scot MacGregor up for Martha Child. The Best In Show Non
Canter title was won by I’m The Spice Girl with Joe Lester making
the ride for Phyllis Langley!
We have seen new International Champions crowned and have seen former Champions repeat. The 38th
International has been one of the best ever due to the 1669 fantastic walking horses shown. It has been a place
to make new friends, visit with friends we seldom get to see and exclaim over the growth of the youngsters from
the previous year. The International is like no other show! A simply wonderful place to show in a friendly, happy,
family atmosphere. I love it and from reports you did too! Yeah WHOA!
