Wisconsin Versatility Fun Show • Elkhorn, WI June 4th The Wisconsin Walking Horse Association held its first show of the 2016 season on June 4th at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Exhibitors from Wisconsin and Illinois braved intermittent rain showers to participate in a TWHBEA Regional Qualifying Show. The show began with Mary Kepplinger leading the national anthem assisted by Mirannda Kepplinger as flag bearer. The Honorable H. Lynette Partridge Schaefer made the trip from Belleville, Illinois to judge 146 entries in a full slate of rail and versatility classes. Judge Schneider was assisted in the ring by Marcia Boeing while the announcer was George Schneider. Show Manager, Carol Olp and WWHA Show Chair, Lynn Beres kept events running smoothly with the help of Donell Schetter and Charlotte McMahon in the entry booth and Chuck Scholl and Wally Huebner at the gate. Class ribbons and trophies were presented by Hannah and Christian Krueger. As is customary at WWHA shows, exhibitors shared a potluck supper following the show and are looking forward to their next show, the Summer Jamboree on June 25th also in Elkhorn, Wisconsin with added championship classes.
