WHOA Shows • Franklin & Brownsville, Kentucky
May 14 & 15
The Walking Horse Owners’ Association started their spring show
season in Kentucky amid frigid cold
and blustery windy days. Old man
winter would not be beaten back as
he tried to freeze us out during the
week-end of the Franklin/Brownsville, Kentucky Shows. Both shows
had great entries, 168 at Franklin
and 205 at Brownsville. Brownsville had morning versatility classes
which increased their entry number. Judging the Franklin Show
was Shelli MeHaffey and doing the
honors at Brownsville was Blair
Knight. Both ladies did a great job of
judging.
The Bobby Richards Stable from
Franklin, Tennessee made the drive
to Franklin, Kentucky a profitable
one with a trailer load of really nice
flat shod Tennessee Walking Horses.
Bobby put horses in many classes
and took home his share of the coveted colored ribbons.
Debbie Smothers won the most
“Amateur Blues Award” with her
string of good striding horses.
Husband Ronnie got the best groom
award as he helped get the horses
saddled and ready for Debbie to hop
on board both days.
