Bits and Pieces
In Memoriam
Black Cloud’s Miss QB (Princess)
The Huebner family is sad to
report the passing of Black Cloud’s
Miss QB (Princess). She was foaled
on May 16, 1983 and was humanely put to rest at 33 years of age on
February 13, 2016. This talented
bay mare was truly a remarkable
ambassador for the Walking Horse
breed.
Purchased in 1993 from Benchmark Farm where she shared a
successful show record with Jill
Boeing, Princess instantly became
an equine mentor to the young
Huebner family new to the Walking
Horse world. She would go on to
achieve many titles with Amanda
Huebner at the reins including the
1998 Wisconsin 4-H Saddle Seat
Showmanship State Grand Championship, 1999 WHOA Register of
Merit and 2000 TWHBEA Youth
Superior Versatility Champion.
Princess spent over 20 years of her
life in the show ring last competing
in 2006 at the Wisconsin Fall Finale
at 23 years of age (winning 2 blues)
and proving the longevity of this
wonderful breed.
