Got Rox Wolfman 1991 - 2016 Most of us who own horses have that ONE special horse. For my dear friends Sis and Grady Osborne, I think it’s safe to say theirs was “Wolfie.” They have owned and raised some really nice, double-registered Tennessee Walking/Spotted Saddle Horses at Got Rox, but from the day this guy was foaled, it was obvious he had that little extra something. He had extraordinary conformation which earned him the 1994 TWH Model Stallion World Championship - the FIRST spotted horse to win in Shelbyville’s big oval - and he was also a SSHBEA multi-titled champion. He had that smooth, easy gait to go with his exceptional looks and sweet nature and was ALWAYS the consummate gentleman - whether on the rail, on the trail, or in the breeding shed. But it was those EARS, those keen, hooked ears that were to become his trademark and that he would pass down to his offspring... Wolfie, 25, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this week and it’ll be hard to pass by his empty stall; his passing leaves a huge hole in my friends’ hearts. Most of you know that ache. It’s the price we pay for the joy these exquisite animals bring to our lives. But we would’t have it any other way. As ole Garth said, we “could’ve missed the pain, but we would’ve had to miss the dance...” Thanks for sharing your dance card with us, Wolfie. –PJ Wamble 9
