WHOA Attends AHC Annual Convention
The Walking Horse Owners’ Associaiton was proud to be a part of this
year’s American Horse Council Annual Convention. Held July 14-17 at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel on Capitol Hill, the convention included a Congressional Recpetion, the Congressional Ride-In, AHC committee meetings,
an Unwanted Horse Coalition meeting, and the American Horse Council’s
National Issues Forum. Representing WHOA at this prestigious event were
President Dee Dee Miller-Sale, Executive Director Tommy Hall, and Board
Member David Pruett.
Through their attendance at the convention, WHOA’s representatives
were able to interact with members of Congress, participate in various
committee meetings, and take part in the National Issues Forum, which
had the theme “Promoting and Protecting the Horse.” Additionally,
WHOA was honored to be placed on the Welfare, Horse Shows, and Recreation commmittees. All in all, it was a beneficial event for all involved.
