With over 250 walking horse enthusiasts in attendance, the
latest Walking Horse Owners’ Association (WHOA) Awards
banquet was a resounding success. The event took place the
evening of February 14 at the James Union Building on the
campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
The festivities kicked off at 5:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour.
That was followed by the presentation of the Academy High
Point Awards, Versatility High Point Awards, the Register Of
Merit Awards, and the Kentucky Breeders’ Incentive High
Point Awards. Banquet goers were then treated to a delicious
dinner during which the National High Point Award winners
where honored. In addition to many award presentations,
the evening featured a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, and
series of special presentations.
Special thanks to WHOA Executive Director Tommy Hall,
emcee Mark Farrar, Jr., and the WHOA staff and volunteer
for this year’s banquet an event to remember.
