WHOA Versatility Show - Pleasant Valley Farm The last WHOA Show of 2015 helped WHOA finish the season with a  flourish. Weather predications caused a change of location but did not appear to hurt the show. Held on the beautiful Pleasant Valley Farm,  located between Shelbyville and Wartrace, Tennessee, the show drew horses from Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, and our home state of Tennessee. It was really neat to close the season with so many nice horses in attendance and the chance to reunite with our horse show friends from as far away as Arizona and Florida. The Pleasant Valley facility is second to none and it was a pleasure to be able to show inside as the day grew more and more chilly. WHOA extends a huge THANK YOU to the Rippy family for the use of their facility.  The smiles on the faces of the owners and exhibitors as they won a class or placed in a class and suddenly realized that this very win escalated them into top place in their division for the year or maybe they realized that they had just completed a long term goal such as achieving their ROM was a thrill for me. The folks participating in the WHOA Register Of Merit become like family members to me as I watch them struggle to complete their goal and those last points become so darn elusive. It is a pleasure to see them complete their goal and know that maybe I helped in some small way. –Sis Osborne Faye Lynn Coffey brought a truck load of talented walking horses along with equally talented and pretty young ladies to show the horses.  This stable took several blue and red ribbons back to Murfreesboro.  Excellent riders all! Pictured are long time WHOA supporters, friendly competitors and friends Douglas Ann McGovern, Tom Gossard, and Terry McGovern right before they cast friendship aside and ride for the win. Both D.A. and Tom won blue ribbons aboard their nice Racking Horses while Terry videoed their appearances. 20 • Walking On Lead line exhibitors included Blake Johnson led in this class by his Dad, Chuck Johnson. Blake is aboard Rev’s Treasure. Blake has been on hand to help me by getting the stick horse exhibitors in and out of the ring in a timely manner at several of our shows and I thank him Mary Ann Couch is pictured with her superlative driving horse, My Private Eye. Mary Ann and My Private Eye are always in the top of the ribbons in the driving events. WHOA appreciates this very adept reins woman supporting the shows with her fine entry. Discussing show ring strategies prior to their award winning rides and drives are: Rhonda Martocci, Dr. John Gladney, and Stacy Richards. Putting the finishing touch on the MacGregor Stables entries are: Lynn MacGregor ( hard at work while hubby is out of state judging)Sarah Beth Arnold and motherin-law, Marilynn McCloud who made two award winning rides
