Holiday Horse Treats Treat your horse this holiday season with these homemade horse treats. Carrot/Apple Cakes Directions 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 Mix oatmeal and flour. 3 Mix in applesauce and molasses. 4 Form into balls and place on cookie sheet. 5 Bake for 15 minutes. 6 Store in sealed container. Directions 1 Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 2 Grate the carrot and apple. 3 Mix together all ingredients. 4 Place mixture in baking tray. 5 Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown. 6 Cool for four hours in refrigerator. Peppermint Topped Muffins Ingredients 1 Carrot 1 Apple 1 Cup Molasses 2 1/2 Cups Oats 2 Tablespoons Oil Peppermint Treats Ingredients 10 Crushed Peppermints 2 Cups Flour 2 Apples 1 Cup Oats 1/4 Cup Molasses Water Directions 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 Mix flour and oats together. 3 Add molasses. 4 Add water slowly until mixture is doughy. 5 Add crushed peppermints. 6 Add apples. 7 Bake until golden brown. Four Ingredient Horse Cookies Ingredients 3 Cups Uncooked, Old Fashioned Oatmeal 1/2 Cup Flour 1 Cup Applesauce 1/4 Cup Molasses Ingredients 1 1/4 Cups Oats 3/4 Cup Molasses 1/2 Cup Flour 1/2 Cup Flax Seed 2 Teaspoons Cornstarch 1/3 Cup Water 1/4 Cup Apple Pieces 12 Peppermints Directions 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 Grease muffin tin. 3 Mix all ingredients except peppermints. 4 Evenly divide mixture between muffin cups. 5 Bake for 15 minutes. 6 Top each muffin with a peppermint. No Bake Sweet Treats Ingredients 1 Cup Rolled Oats 1/4 Cup Water 1 Pinch Honey 1 Pinch Smooth Peanut Butter 1/4 Cup Grain 1 Baby Carrot Directions 1 Put the rolled oats in a bowl and add water. 2 Add honey and smooth peanut butter. 3 Add grain and stir. (Add more honey if needed.) 4 Cut up baby carrot and add to mixture. 5 Roll mixture into balls and refrigerate until firm. 17
