Bits and Pieces anything for a treat! We also go to multi-breed organized trail rides and the bird dog field trial championships at Ames Plantation. Over the winter we will be visiting some local arenas as we prepare to participate in the barrels and poles classes at the World Versatility and International competitions next year. It is funny to see the faces of people when I tell them we will be doing this next year. I just smile and tell them all the wonderful things that our Walkers can do! If you would like to come and visit with Jane, you can find us at White Oak Farm. They love visitors during the week from 8am til 5pm. You might want to make a special trip in December, when the Christmas lights are on display. It is an especially anticipated event which White Oak uses to give back to the community. –Sherry Patton A Note For WHOA Members We, here at WHOA, are winding down our show season. It has, at times, been an exhausting season for the WHOA staff members that are on the road nearly every weekend. Your friendly help, support and cooperation, along with the chance to see some really nice walking horses doing versatile things, have made it worthwhile. If you have concerns or issues - bring a written solution to the problem so the staff can study and act on your idea. Remember, we are there for you so be there for us. This is a good time to let the many volunteers know how very much Tommy and I appreciate your help at our WHOA shows. Maybe you ran a sheet to the DQP, perhaps you helped set up the Trail or even brought items for the Trail Class, sat in the office and helped take entries, brought us a cold bottle of water, took a picture while I was giving out ribbons, heck even gave out the ribbons or opened the gate; whatever the task; you did it with a smile and no pay, WE THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. ROM Books are due! Please fill out your book(s) and submit it to me by December 5th. To save time and to save time and expense, mail your book(s) to: SIS OSBORNE-3079 PULASKI HWY--CORNERSVILLE TN 37047. I would love for you to email me a short blurb and photo depicting you and your horse activities for the past year in order that I might let folks know of your accomplishments via Bits & Pieces. My email address is [email protected]. During the cold winter months when your’re not riding your horses, put your mind to work thinking of places WHOA can hold shows that will increase the interest in the Tennessee Walking Horse in those areas. Remember a place to hold the show is necessary as well as workers to man the jobs prior to and after the event. It is also very necessary to have enough horses to make the trip profitable. Think how many shows you would have to exhibit your horse if it were not for WHOA. Just think about this a bit this winter. I am stepping down from my bandbox for a cup of hot chocolate but please do let me hear from you. –Sis Osborne We Want To Hear From You! Bits and Pieces is the place to share YOUR NEWS!
