Walking In WESTERN CANADA Incorporated in 1998, the Tennessee Walking Horse Association of Western Canada (TWHAWC) is comprised of a group of walking horse enthusiasts throughout Western Canada who work together to promote and enjoy the Tennessee Walking Horse. Their primary goal is to establish a positive public image and enhance awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse. To that end, TWHAWC co nducts educational forums, distribute breed information to the public, and sponsors clinics, horse shows, trail rides, and other equine events. In 2014, TWHAWC held a total of four shows, which were affiliated with the Walking Horse Owners’ Association. Each of these shows featured a full array of rail and versatility classes for the flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horse. In all, a whopping 2,007 entries made the gate call at these shows: proof positive that the Tennessee Walking Horse, with a little help from TWHAWC and WHOA, is thriving all over North America. –Sarah Gee Entry Breakdown by Show June 13-15, 2014 .............
