Gary Lane Clinic
Proves Informative & Entertaining
On July 27, 2014, the International hosted a clinic
by renowned gaited horse trainer and clinician Gary
Lane. The clinic proved to be both informative and
entertaining for gaited horse enthusiasts of all ages and
experience levels. During the clinic, Gary worked with a
number of horse and rider teams on various issues and
training areas including the biomechanics of the gaited
horse, gait recognition, gait scale, bitting for the trail or
rail, and individual gait modification. Overall the clinic
helped several riders improve their relationships with
their horses and it gave auditors the chance to learn some
valuable skills and methods that they could take home
to their horses. It was an excellent opportunity to learn
from one of the foremost gaited horse clinicians in the
horse industry.
