Since we are talking, as usual, about money I would like to emphasize how much producing the Waldensian Review and sending it, especially abroad, costs. If you look at the accounts published in the Summer issue you’ll have an idea. We would not mind spending all this money, though, if we were sure it was worth it. When I write this kind of message or I ask you to receive the magazine by email or to read it online on our website . I usually receive an answer from the people I personally know, who are many, but only a fraction of all the names still registered in the mailing list. If on the one hand I am very happy to send the paper issue to real people, on the other hand I am worried about wasting effort and money on non-existing ones. Those who have expressed interest in receiving the magazine via email are fewer than 30 but the mailing list, despite many having been cancelled in the last few years, still has hundreds of names! You can see, my friends, what little difference your gratefully received feedback makes! I am therefore going to be very direct and ask those readers who have received our publications free for many years, but have never been in touch, let alone contributed, even just by buying a calendar, TO BE SO KIND AS TO SEND ME A LETTER (OR AN EMAIL) CONFIRMING THEIR INTEREST IN BEING KEPT ON THE MAILING LIST. Also a phone call will do, but there is always the risk that messages on the answering machine are not very clear.
