When Tourism was introduced as a school subject, Mrs Deale, who is a born teacher with a wonderful way with teenagers, was asked to teach it. Mrs Deale, now subject head of Tourism, has built this relevant subject into a popular choice for learners, inspiring them with the many opportunities this field offers. With her no-nonsense approach, Mrs Deale ensures that learning is prioritised, while still giving informative and interesting anecdotes on current events that affect Tourism. Always willing, Mrs Deale doesn’t hesitate to give of her time to help staff members, especially with computer related issues. A caring and loyal friend, she is always accommodating towards staff that need some extra guidance. Mrs Deale is an enthusiastic member of the staff crossword team. Her sharp wit adds to the entertainment at break times! She is also a keen puzzler, which can be seen by the lovely puzzles which decorate her classroom. Mrs Deale has always shown compassion and kindness towards learners who may have difficulties. Being a true Mom, she will defend and protect any whom she feels need some extra care. Mrs Deale has three married children, all of whom were schooled at Victoria Park. She is now a doting granny of many grandchildren who surely keep her busy when she and her husband have time! When Mrs Deale isn’t teaching, you will find her hard at work managing the school administration system. Over many years, Mrs Deale has become something of an expert and runs this program with an eagle eye for detail, keeping staff on their toes Mrs Michele Brauteseth and Mrs Lawrette Bloem.
