U15A
The highlights of the season were, without a doubt,
the wins over Pearson High School and Muir College. Both teams were challenging; one team possessing a stronger pack of forwards and the other
having a highly skilled backline. However, this did
not stop the gutsy U/15 team, and they held their
nerve, beating two of the strongest rugby teams in
their league.

This year has proven to be an exciting one, filled
with great pride and numerous victories. The
U/15A rugby boys have developed into promising
rugby players. It is vital to mention that the boys
had immense commitment and were very punctual
throughout the season. This proved to be one of the
key points that led to their success.
With yet another outstandingly successful season,
the team has proven that they have not lost their
hunger to succeed. The boys hold an astonishing
73 percent winning record and stand undefeated at
home Derby Days. It is essential to acknowledge
that our continuous competition was against some
of the strongest and most competitive schools in the
Eastern Cape region.

Some outstanding performances must be mentioned.
Our captain, Josh Coleman, led from the front and
always presented a cool head when it came to critical decisions in the game. Sixolile Pini, vice-captain, had the golden boot this year and kicked many
vital conversions over the poles. Our top try scorers
were Xabiso Menze, who became the playmaker of
the team, and Hlomla ‘Fluff’ Ngcikwe, who became
an unstoppable try scorer.
The U/15A boys have become a well-established
team and have created a great reputation for themselves.
The U/15A rugby team received the rugby award
for ‘Team of the Year’ and Josh Coleman and Sixolile Pini shared the award for ‘Junior Player of the
Year’. A special thank you must go out to our sponsors and to all the parents for their continuous support throughout the season.
