We participated in a Cape town tournament at Fairmont High school, where we faced some very tough opposition. We were very unlucky to go down to our Port Elizabeth rivals, Westering, in the B-section final. This was, however, a great learning curve and a great platform to start the season on. made the non-traveling reserve position for the u18 EP side, Nicky Veto who made the u18A EP side, Caitlin Wenlock who made the u16B EP side and Tirene Hatzidarellis who made the u16A EP side. Nicky Veto went on to make the South African B side and we are all very proud of her. The first half of the season, saw VP start with a bang and the team remained unbeaten until we faced Pearson, where we narrowly went down 1-0. Some highlights of the first half of the season were wins against Westering, 2-1 and a 5-0 win against Brandwag. Unfortunately we went down to Woodridge (03) and Union (0-2) as well. The second half of the season, was a very positive half, where the girls bravely took on Collegiate and despite a great performance by the girls, went down 0-2. We beat Riebeck 2-0, Victoria Girls 2-0 and Willow Academy 16-0. The highlight of the season, however, has got to be the 1-0 win over Alexander Road to end the season on a high note.
