Our athletes have shown great form this year and have been in the spotlight through all the qualifying rounds. where over 60 athletes represented the school leading up to the Eastern Cape High School Championships held in Cradock. Five of the 6 athletes who represented VP were placed in the top 3, with the 6th athlete finishing in a close 4th position in the final of the 100m for U/14 boys. Champs in Cradock by once again finishing in 1st place in the 100m. In Cradock, he finished 3rd in his heat to qualify for the final, and narrowly missed out on a medal position, finishing 4th overall! He was thus ranked 4th in the Eastern Cape. Rafeeq Agherdien (U/14 100m): Rafeeq won the 100m and 200m at the Zone Meeting held on 05 February at the Westbourne Oval. He followed this up with a win in the 100m at PE High Schools the following weekend, qualifying for the Metro High School Championships.
