The 1st Joint International Conference of the Association of Institutions for Tropical Veterinary Medicine (AITVM) and the Society of Tropical Veterinary Medicine (STVM)
The dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lertrak Srikitjakarn and The VPHCAP executive board attend-ed the 1st Joint International Con-ference of the Association of Insti-tutions for Tropical Veterinary Medi-cine (AITVM) and the Society of Tropical Veterinary Medicine (STVM) which organized by Freie Universität Berlin on 4-8 September 2016 at Berlin, Germany.
The AITVM-STVM conference entitled “Tropical Animal Diseases and Veterinary Public Health: Joining Forces to Meet Future Global Challenges“ focused on tropical veterinary medicine and animal production. The conference brought together animal health and production experts, senior and junior career researchers and students to contribute the solutions for the improve-ment of human and animal health in tropical regions through enhancement of research, training and education. Special emphasis is directed towards animal and zoonotic disease control, food safety, genetic re-sources and biodiversity, sustainable rural development and animal production, ca-pacity building and animal welfare.
This was opportunity for MVPH alumni to reunite and meet the instructors and also share their expe-riences of their current careers and life. We are very glad to find the alumni are doing so well. Hope to see you in the near future!!
