Until now, we have a total of 81 alumni and 11 students of the 7th batch from 15 countries in Southeast Asia and Asia. With capabilities of the center, we also operate the Excellent Center of Veterinary Public Health and the OIE Collaborating Centre for Capacity Building in Veterinary Services to serve our missions on veterinary public health research and capacity building through trainings, respectively. In this year, it's time for the next MVPH generation. The

Master of Veterinary Public Health will be changed to the Master of Science (in Veterinary Public Health) (MSc) program. However, the contents of the program still be the same. our success

strengthening our (alumni) network

Last year, our big project sponsored by the Lower Mekong Initiative's (LMI) Health Pillar, the "Culling Practices, Disposal Approaches and Compensation Policies for Poultry Disease Control in Lower Mekong Countries" was a good example to illustrate the strength of our alumni network. We went to 4 countries (Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, and Vietnam) to collect the data regarding to the project. Thank you for kindness and nice support from our alumni!

moving forward...

The way forward of VPHCAP is expanding the international veterinary education for veterinary service and food industry. The success of capacity building in the region through joint-degree with Freie Universität Berlin of MVPH is well-recognized. The experiences in First Veterinary Education Twinning Program the Day-1 OIE twinning project inspire us to focus the education of the public veterinary service. Therefore, the centre is now in the process of planning to develop the certificate program in food system which potentially supported by the OIE Collaborating Centres with the Center of Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS), University of Minnesota.
