This course will provide the principles of Participatory Epidemiology (PE) which is the application of participatory approaches to epidemiology. The PE can provide missing qualitative and semi-quantitative data and information to epidemiologist. The course will introduce principles of PE, PE techniques and tools as well as provides opportunity for participants to practice participatory techniques and tools.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Explain the principles of PE
• Describe the PE techniques and tools
• Apply PE techniques and tools in fieldwork
The major goal of this course is to introduce and demonstrate the participatory epidemiology techniques and tools as well as provides opportunity for participants to practice participatory techniques and tools.
