AWA R E N E S S P R O G R A M S MANUFACTURING CAREER POSTERS ON DISPLAY at the Advanced Technology College (ATC) in Daytona Beach Where would I work?” Thirty manufacturers answer this question with a permanent 8’ x 10’ poster display highlighting their products and careers in the centrally located facility that houses the engineering, technology and manufacturing classes. The walls of the Daytona State Advanced Technology College (ATC) on Williamson and LPGA are covered with posters and banners of the products we make here and the jobs/careers that are available. Each year over 5,000 people see these posters including the middle and high school students in groups of 10 to 150 who regularly Team Volusia, CEO Business Alliance, Volusia County Economic Development and Flagler County Economic Development bring prospects; the ATC hosts many regional and local meetings many with local employers connecting with specific programs, i.e., Machining, HVAC and Electronics. Continuing Education students attending the Skills for Supervising, Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft Office, Machining, Electronic Assembly & Cabling, Emergency Vehicle Technician Training, and more are really interested in where they will find a job.
