Shoyaine Shoyaine is a computer whiz-kid. Molly has a hearing impairment. Together they’ve been exploring how to use digital technology to enhance Molly’s life. She now uses a tablet to communicate by email and download her favourite books. “ The fact is, I can now communicate with my friends and my family. I am very grateful. It makes a great difference to all our lives here. “ At Abbeyfield, we know that the wellbeing of older people can be significantly enhanced by the use of technology and our volunteers make sure that our residents do not miss out on the modern digital world. “ Having the chance to help an elderly person to understand how to use an iPad or how to surf the web, has taught me patience and the ability to connect. “
