Ian

The first twenty two years of Ian ’ s life were spent in his family home which is now an Abbeyfield .

I was intrigued to go back and see how my family home had changed .

But Ian didn ’ t just get a snapshot of how the building had changed when he attended a Companionship at Christmas event , he saw first hand the family ethos of Abbeyfield and is now a committed trustee volunteer .

I have so many happy memories of my childhood home and it still has the family feeling . We work hard to create this happy , family atmosphere as this is the Abbeyfield ethos that we offer our residents .

The residents take great pleasure in the idea of Ian growing up in the house and sharing the stories of his childhood .
Ian is able to spend time in his old family home with his new Abbeyfield family .
