“My name means something too, it means: defender of man and strong fighter. I
can teleport from one place to another and I have amazing fighting skills,” he
replied.
“Can you train me how to learn to control my powers?” I asked.
“That is why I was asked to look after you, it‟s all part of my mission, to train
you for the test,” he said.
“What test?” I asked.
“Well the test that will officially make you a member of The Individuals of
course,” he told me.
“What are The Individuals?” Lucas asked him.
“They are a group of people like us, people who have powers,” he explained.
“Well then, can we start training tomorrow?” I asked.
“Yes of course we can start tomorrow,” he replied.
Day and night we trained; he taught me how to control my powers and how to
fight. It became a cycle: school then training day after day. After a few months,
the day came. It was time to meet The Individuals and show them what I can
do; all my training was for this day. Before going into the dark room that held
all the obstacles, I had a few more minutes until I had to begin.
“Lucas, you‟re not telling me something, what is it?” I asked.
“You‟re right, there is something I‟m not telling you, I know you better than
anyone in the world and I hope this won‟t ruin anything but, I love you Eleanor, I
don‟t care if you‟re not normal or if you have powers. I love you ever since the
day I met you,” he told me. Finally he tells me.
„Well I love you too. I‟ll see you after the test,” I gave him a hug then left.
They made me go through obstacles; I had to use my light that came from my
hand to see my way since it was really dark. At the last obstacle I had to open
a chest with the key they gave me before I entered. When I unlocked it, it
showed me my past and when I used my powers. I saw everything from the day
I was born to when I had my first play date with Lucas to the time I was
training just a few days ago to where I stand right now.
Then the lights turned on and Lucas ran to me then gave me a big hug, I
returned the hug and gave him a kiss. Right then was when I knew that he
would be the „mortal man‟ I would marry, the one who will help me repeat the
cycle, the one who would be the father of my child in the future.
A few years later, Lucas and I got married and moved to California where we
started our lives together and where I started my life as an Individual.
