The target readers are women of all ages . Then others who are curious about who we are and what made us who we are .
What was the one thing you learned during this book collaboration ?
I learned that I myself can still feel the effects of some of my own life experiences as I was writing my testimonials . I had to stop writing for a few days , meditate , pray , and take a few walks . Feelings of anger , disappointment , and pain resurfaced . This would clear my head , and then I could go back to writing again .
What was one of the most difficult things you had to encounter during this book collaboration ?
Since the Authors are sharing testimonials that they have never shared with anyone , many of them cried and had major breakthroughs . Some felt that they could not continue . I asked them to pray on it and let God tell them what information they should share . We just never know who is asking God for help . We are sure that each reader will be able to relate and come to the decision to share their own testimonials .
How is the book a resemblance of yourself ?
I grew up in the Church of God In Christ , which is a Pentecostal faith-based organization . During praise and worship service , testimonial time was always on the church agenda . At the beginning of the service , the congregation would be allowed to speak their truth , talk about their trials and tribulations , life experiences , or inform the church of what God had blessed them . I noted that when the congregation took advantage of this sharing experience , the listening saints would provide them with the support or validation they needed . This was also very therapeutic , like when someone is speaking with a Psychologist . I have always been an advocate for people to seek God and mental assistance from a professional when they have elements in their life that are causing them pain . Suppressing people or things that cause your adversities to linger will only cause a negative domino effect on your mental , physical , and spiritual wellness . We really need to unveil these unveil the mask of these negative traditions to reveal our jewels to become part of the Girlz Run The World In Pearls International Movement .
