Talent & Ideas : YouTransform
What is the biggest challenge you face either at
present or in foreseeable future?
How would you like people to remember
you and your company?
Fitness consulting is a very new concept in India
and while there are countless nutritionists and
trainers; my approach is very different. I focus on a
holistic transformation of mind and body for long
lasting results. But at times people still confuse me
for a dietician and I have to clarify. So I think it will
be a big challenge to introduce this new concept
and develop that in this competitive industry
which only keeps expanding by the day.
I cannot control how people would perceive me
and my company but with YouTransform I
would strive to be that person who shows people a sustainable path to a healthy, happy and fit
life.
Startups. A glamorous world of failures? Comment?
This sudden spurt of startups recently has provided
great opportunities for people like me who want to
start something on their own and create something
of value. Numerous innovative startups commence
and many also shut down shortly after. But it’s better to fail fast and move on to something better
than not trying out at all. Startups are a beautiful
way to test your idea and make a change. The
boom of startups is only a positive thing. ‘Secret to
Startup Failure: fail fast, fail cheap, fail happy’. It is
important to remember that ‘Success may have the
brains, but failure has the balls’
How do you define success and how do you
measure up to your own definition?
Leaving the world a better place than when I found
it. To me that would be success. In order to measure up to that; I take steps each day to improve myself and in turn create a change in the environment
I live in.
Any message for our readers?
Fitness is not just about losing weight, fitting
into that outfit or being a size 0. Eating healthy
and being active will improve your overall performance at work, energize you, increase your
self confidence, help you better pursue your
other goals… the benefits are endless. So focus
on physical and mental well-being rather than
that number on the scale.
Let go of the ‘All or nothing’ mentality and
make small changes today towards a healthier
and happier life. Someone very wise once told
me “We are all as malleable as clay, able to
transform into anyone with a little effort everyday.”
