Many bowfishermen focus on the Lower Bay's points, bays and creeks. Deadhorse Bay to the southeast of Suamico and Duck Creek to the west of the islands are consistent producers.

TIPS: The Bay of Green Bay can be a violent place if winds are present look to launch on a lee shore. Launches can be found near Suamico, Dyckesville (Bayshore) and at the mouth of the Fox River (Metro). If fishing in dirty water head north until it clears, but know the limitations and range of your boat because the bay can become dangerous very quickly. Having a quality GPS on hand is highly recommended.

These photos were taken on a mid-summer excursion to the Bay and represent the quality of fish present. Having never bowfished before, brothers Dan and John Schneidemayer, along with their father Dave and grandfather Larry, landed 24 fish in 4 hours.

Algae blooms can be a problem in the Bay later in the year, especially near the Fox River where nutrient rich waters are present. Head north and stay close to shore in shallow waters to stay on fish. Target recognition is mandatory as there are many game fish mixed in with the rough fish at times.
