Views From The Pews
Several of you have kind things to say
about my homily on living the reality that
God loves each of us to pieces. Alice is
one of those. She writes, “I find it hard to
love myself, but I think it will be far easier in the future,
thanks to you. Your homily on God finding us immensely
valuable and immensely loveable touched my heart.”
“I believe it was God, not my homily, that touched
your heart. Love yourself fully. God made you in his
image and he cannot love you more.”

Did You Know?
Father Raphael, the Ugandan who spent his last year
of seminary with us, recently wrote a letter to us. Several
of us help support Father Raphael with our prayers and
money.
He writes, “Father Mike, I send very warm greetings to
you and to greatly thank you and all the parishioners of
Visitation of Our Lady for the continued financial and
spiritual support. May God continue to reward and bless
you.”
Father Raphael also sent us pictures, a baptism and a
semi-destroyed building that he hopes to turn into a
classroom. Please continue to assist him with your prayers
and, if you can, with your money.

The Pastoral Center will be CLOSED July 3rd & 4th in
observance of Independence Day. The priests, deacons and
staff of the parish wish you a safe and joyous Independence
Day holiday.
As we celebrate this great historical event of the founding
of our country, let us remember that true freedom only exists
in doing God’s will. Let us give thanks to God for our country
that has been so richly blessed, and let us resolve to keep our
land — “one nation under God.”
To our soldiers…
May God bless you each for all you do for us each
day. We will keep you in our hearts and for your safety
we will pray.
