A large number of you were gracious enough to ask me how I am healing from my hernia surgery . Here ’ s one of them . Brenda writes , “ I heard they had to cut you . Why ? I thought they did all that laparoscopically these days . How are you doing ?”
“ My hernia was too large for laparoscopic surgery . So I have a five inch incision . As I wrote this ( Monday ), I am still sore , but I seem to be healing well . Thanks for your prayers and concerns .”
Mary writes , “ How are you feeling ? You didn ’ t say the Mass I went to .”
“ I ’ m sore . I have a five inch incision in my groin . But , the hernia is gone and I ' ll soon be back to normal . Thanks for asking .”

Substance Addiction Ministry Meeting Monday , February 13th @ 7 pm Meeting will be held upstairs in the Pastoral Center .
The Substance Abuse Ministry ( SAM ) offers a safe , confidential place for people touched by addiction to share their personal experiences with others . The ministry is open to both those afflicted with or affected by substance addiction .
SAM provides general educational information about addiction through professionals in this field and is open to people of all faiths .
The group does not provide professional diagnosis , therapy , counseling or treatment , but provides a list of referrals of local addiction facilities and professionals .

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed at the end of the 7 a . m . Mass on the fourth Thursday of the month , and benediction and reposition will take place at Midnight on that same day .

Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration
The Archdiocesan Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration will be held Sunday , June 11th at St . Philip Neri Church in Metairie . Couples that will celebrate their 50 th year of marriage in 2017 are invited to attend . All interested participants must register through their Parish Church .
Registration forms are available in the literature rack in the back of Church , or you may call the Pastoral Center @ 347-2203 . Forms must be turned back in to the Pastoral Center no later than Sunday , February 26 , 2017 . Please Note : The celebration WILL NOT be a Mass , but a Prayer Service . Attendance of Mass for Sunday obligation will have to be met within one ’ s Parish . The celebration will begin at 3 p . m .
