Four years ago I took the plunge and started Carpzilla Bowfishing guide service. Many things need to be considered when trying to launch a successful business, for example getting my captain’s license, building a bigger, safer boat, and acquiring insurance. However, no matter how great your equipment and services are, your business’s success will depend on how you market it.
Four years ago I took the plunge and started Carpzilla Bowfishing guide service. Many things need to be considered when trying to launch a successful business, for example getting my captain’s license, building a bigger, safer boat, and acquiring insurance. However, no matter how great your equipment and services are, your business’s success will depend on how you market it.
I quickly recognized that having shirts, decals, and other screen-printed and embroidered items with my business logo would help me build my brand more quickly. I was introduced to a true professional in this area, Jeff Nieball, owner of NDesigns Screen printing, Signs & Embroidery.
Friends of mine on Facebook advised me to send Jeff a quick message to get some quotes on the apparel I was looking for. Upon contacting him I felt like I knew the guy my whole life, which is a very welcoming feeling in the business world. After about 10 minutes of messaging back and forth my order was set and ready to hit the production line.
Jeff not only gave me the best prices around, he also told me my order would be at my doorstep in a week! This was great news as time is of the essence when trying to promote your business, organization, or special event.
Our conversation didn’t end with the order though, as it quickly transitioned into bowfishing
talk, a passion that Jeff and I share. Since that first discourse I’ve kept in touch with Jeff and we regularly update each other on our bowfishing and hunting endeavors.
I finally got to meet Jeff in person at the Backwater Outdoors All Out Carp Out this past March. When he arrived at the same hotel that we were staying at it was like we had known each other for years.
You may have experienced some of Jeff’s professional work without even knowing it. For example, Jeff started the online forum Bowfishing-zone.com which has vast amounts of bowfishing information packed into one website. Jeff wanted to provide avid bowfisherman a place to show off their boats, share pictures of last night’s harvest, and provide a friendly place for outdoorsman to gain and share their knowledge in the sport.
