Vol. 1, Issue 4, April 2015 | Page 3

Power - you want it in your airboat, your fan motor, your outboard, your trolling motor, your kicker, your lights, your electrical system, etc... You want to run all night long, you want to run shallow, and you want to be as efficient as possible, all in the pursuit of fish that most sportsmen turn up their noses to. Bowfishermen spend countless hours thinking about how they can increase power, reduce weight, and become more efficient, often at great financial expense.

In this issue we are going to explore one aspect of power - the conversion of AC to DC power and vice-versa. Converters, like the Powermax and Iota models, allow anglers using 12/24/36 volt battery systems to meet their goals of fishing for longer periods of time. Trolling motors and LED lights can stay running with the help of a small generator. Alternatively, inverters give fishermen with 120 volt systems the option to run LED lights silently for a period of time without the need for a generator. We'll explore the pros and cons of each set-up to help you decide which route is best for you.

Another area we will explore in this issue is the privilege to hunt a contro-versial species - the American Crow. We'll venture to two different locales and see how crow hunting can be unifying and devisive at the same time.

We will also join Team Carpzilla Bowfishing as they venture south for one of the first major tournaments of the season, and one of the richest, the All Out Carp Out on Lake Guntersville, AL. They will describe the event, the players, the hosts, the lake, and bring the experience to you.

We have lots of new gear to share with our readers this month as well - we take a first look at the Archenemy Nemesis reel from Bass Pro Shops, we shoot the Fullbore Bowfishing machined aluminum rest on our new PSE Discovery 2, and we try out a custom bowstring from Bowfishing Depot.

Tournaments are getting fishermen across the country excited and Facebook timelines are filling up with success pictures as warming waters have the fish moving again. So buckle up as 2015 shifts into high-gear.
