President Icaza built the foundation for a strong union that encourages participation and growth. Under his leadership, rank and file members like myself have evolved into activists, and we are ready to continue fighting for fairness and pushing for progress. The future of our union stands on the shoulders of his legacy. Jess Steever, Ralphs 701 It has been a pleasure to be apart of the union knowing that our President has made it so we can have fair wages & working conditions. We have always had medical insurance through his negotiations, he has made it possible to have assistance for us or our children for school among countless other programs. Thank you for your service & your efforts will be remembered for our current members & our future. Thank you for you service. Crystie Butler, Ralphs 256 I’d like to wish Rick and his family all the best and extend my gratitude and appreciation for all that he’s done for our union throughout his tenure. I thank him for a job extremely well done, my family and I appreciate all the benefits we’ve enjoyed over the years and I thank Rick for maintaining the strength of our union. I’m a proud 50 year member, proud shop steward and proud to be a part of Rick’s legacy. Rudy Rea, Gelson’s 23 I have been a Union Member for the past 22 years and have seen how difficult Union contracts have been. Luckily for all of us, we have Mr. Rick Icaza. He has done extraordinary work over the years as President of our union. I personally want to thank him for negotiating good contracts with good salaries so that we can take good care of our families. Needless to say, I am sorry to see him leave the union, at the same time I want to wish him a happy retirement and to wish him well in his new venture. We will miss you here at the union.
